Are you new to treating eating disorders?

Feeling a lack of confidence working with those with eating disorders because of little to no training and lack of knowledge in what eating disorder treatment entails? Your search can stop here.

KNOW what you DON’T KNOW. WCNT is here to help you KNOW to build confidence as a clinician in the field of eating disorders.

Treating eating disorders (ED) can be one of the most rewarding jobs as a dietitian or non-dietitian alike (therapists, medical doctors, nurses and more!). Treating EDs also comes with loads of responsibility, needed skills, courage, thick skin, and ability to have high resiliency. Lack of training and knowledge can lead to much harm to your prospective clients as we know the severity and inherent lethality of an ED is undisputed. And let’s make sure to mention clinician burnout due to working inefficiently, spinning your wheels, and working harder than your client.

Sound familiar?

Howdy! My name is Jill Sechi, MS, RDN, LD, CEDS-S

I’ve been a dietitian for close to 3 decades.

I’ve worked as a clinical dietitian in intensive care, bariatrics, consulting, contract work, food service and have spent the last 15 years working with those with EDS. I’ve worked as high as the PHP level of care and ran a group practice of over 10 years. I have specialized training in CBT, FBT, ACT, EFFT, RO-DBT and IFS. I found a huge passion in training others in the EDs field. In particular I ran a residency program to train newbie dietitians entering the field of dietetics but wanting to specialize in EDs off the bat. I’m now offering this intensive knowledge building and training through the WCNT Membership Page.

I also want you to know it’s OK to want to lose weight.

I’m here to help and support you with what is going to WORK (hint: its NOT restrictive dieting with a goal of losing 2 pounds a week!) and WHY. Let’s get this 4-letter word ‘DIET’ out of your vocabulary. Let’s get you out of the amusement park of weight loss, especially the “diet roller coaster.” Oh, and by the way–stay away from the “funhouse mirrors” ;those mirrors are NOT reality.

Here’s what you’ll receive:

  • 10 video and audio presentations with take away handouts (learning the basics of eating disorders and treatment, the role of the dietitian, how to start a private practice specializing in EDs, conceptualization, understanding nutrition therapy, and more!).
