We want you to know it’s OK to want to lose weight.
You've been diagnosed with ADHD or struggling with depression, anxiety and past trauma (or perhaps all of the above!). You've been in therapy and have tried medication but nothing is helping. Some medications you've taken seem to have caused weight gain. The meds help but not when you pack on 30 pounds. YOU FEEL STUCK. What if the missing piece is how you're nourishing your brain? Learn how simple nutrition shifts can unlock the healing you've been waiting for and allow therapy and medication management to be more impactful and helpful.
You're thinking of starting a GLP-1 but you've heard on the news that most of the weight loss is muscle. YIKES! Can you prevent this muscle wasting? Do you have to be on the medication forever? You want to start but you're confused and concerned. You need some guidance! HELP!
Lose 40, gain 40; Lose 15, gain 20. You've tried diet after diet with no avail. Everything you've heard and read are conflicting. You're doctor keeps telling you to lose weight, you have and you can't seem to keep it off. You feel like a complete failure. You think - "WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!"
You’ve been informed by your child’s pediatrician that your adolescent has an eating disorder and don’t know where to start and what you need to know; overwhelmed with your child’s emotions and can’t get them to eat, desperately trying to avoid PHP, IOP or residential treatment (what does THAT entail?). Why can’t they just get over this and just eat?!
Here is what empowerment can look like:
Parents and Caregivers
✔️ My child is back!
✔️ Plating your child’s food, knowing they’ll eat every morsel you provided
✔️ Navigating intense emotions with confidence, compassion and calmness
✔️ Finding a solid eating disorder treatment team and understanding each member’s role (including yours!)
Trying to lose weight:
✔️ Knowing the diet failed you, you’re not a failure
✔️ Appreciating your metabolism and its amazing complexity
✔️ Understanding that exercise is NOT optional
✔️ Forming solid lifelong habits because you know only these support behavior change
Mental Health
✔️Noticing calmer moods, better focus, and fewer highs and lows throughout the day.
✔️ Feeling resilient
✔️ Experiencing steadier energy and focus that makes life feel more manageable.
✔️ Finding clarity as your brain and body begin working together.
We've helped hundreds of families and caregivers re-nourish their child to HEALTH and back on their way to LIFE. We know there is so much to know and understand about eating disorders; it's difficult to know where to start. We often see many parents and caregivers feel lost in the process and quickly lose hope. We have seen way too often that once parents and caregivers feel empowered and know the direction they need to go, they have the strength and stamina to support their child to full recovery from an eating disorder. TIME + SUPPORT + KNOWLEDGE = POSSIBLE.
Supporting those with mental health (complimenting your therapist of course!) and supporting those that have been dieting on and off for years is also our jam. What we've found is most lack understanding and have been greatly misled by the dieting industry (think billion dollar profit per year!). Most walk away from a diet feeling like a failure, which is EXACTLY what the diet industry wants. It's how they make their money: from you feeling bad and THEIR DIETS FAILING YOU.. We also know that mental health is GREATLY impacted by how and what you eat. YES, therapy and medications are helpful but without nutrition and BUILDING blocks for your BRAIN, BEHAVIOR change and feeling better is near impossible.
